Job Summary: As a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of written content. Your primary focus will be on reviewing and editing of written materials. You will collaborate with writers and marketing to enhance the overall quality of content while adhering to style guidelines and maintaining a high level of grammatical and syntactical precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Editing and Proofreading:
  • Review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across various materials.
  • Proofread content to identify and correct errors in grammar, syntax, and formatting.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with writers and marketing to understand the goals and objectives of each piece.
  • Collaborate with editors to implement feedback and improvements.
  • Style Adherence:
  • Follow and enforce established style guides and brand guidelines.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure the accuracy and credibility of information.
  • Verify facts, data, and references to maintain the integrity of content.
  • Communication:
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to writers to facilitate improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address queries and concerns.
  • Deadlines:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of edited content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Basic knowledge of content management systems and digital publishing platforms is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
